Having trouble finding legal advice? Lawyers can be difficult to understand, difficult to find and even harder to reach by telephone. The law office of Richard E. Hackerd is committed to providing dedicated, competent and efficient legal service to the community. For that reason we make the following 5 commitments to excellence:

1. COMPLETE ADVICE - The law is huge, ever-changing and difficult to understand. In today's legal world clients need to know "what are my legal rights?" "To wits" and "heretofores" are great - if they mean anything to you. If they don't, you need to hear the law in normal language. Legal questions are seldom simple. A lawyer needs to take the time to explain your rights clearly and completely so you can make a decision. We are committed to giving you that information - clearly.

2. TIMELY ADVICE - fax, overnight, Internet. The pace is picking up. Today's client needs to know - now. Although legal questions don't lend themselves to quick answers we know time is always of the essence. We are committed to giving you our best advice, promptly and clearly.

3. ACCURATE BILLING - we bill regularly on a line-item statement which shows you, every month, what your lawyer did and how long it took. We are committed to accurate billing.

4. COST CONSCIOUSNESS - lawyers aren't cheap, but we watch your bottom line. Staff assignments can have a substantial impact on your costs. We utilize clerks and paralegals, as well as "Of Counsel" attorneys to assure the right mix of resource and cost.  We are committed to treating your legal costs conscientiously.

5. YOUR GOALS - hey - it's your case! We are here to advise you, guide you and to educate you - not control you. Everyone's goals are different. Whatever your goal, a lawyer's job is to help you reach that unique goal. We are committed to helping you achieve your goals.
